Making Tracks GPS is a small, family owned business. We take pride in our exceptional customer service and knowledge of our product.
I am Cdr. John B. Whitsell; a United States Navy retired officer. When I began my military career, the US Navy was navigating by stars, sun and moon with a sextant and stop watch and in some cases LORAN. The first Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) was launched into space the year after I was commissioned and I have used GPS since its inception. During my last years of military service, I was at the Naval Expeditionary Warfare School as Deputy Director of training that taught amphibious warfare to US Marines and Navy personnel. My final three years, I was stationed the Naval Special Warfare Command staff with the Navy SEALs. I gained invaluable experience in the land uses of GPS during these postings. I personally own three GPS units; one manufacturer installed automobile, one mobile automobile and one handheld for Geo- Caching.
